Gateway Kids is the children’s ministry of Gateway Church. We are dedicated to partnering with parents and families to help children become fully devoted followers of Jesus.
Each Sunday, children experience age-appropriate lessons, activities, small group connection, and caring leaders who want to help them learn biblical truth in ways they can understand and apply.
Our desire is simple: we want every child to feel safe, loved, included, and excited to discover more about God.
Safe & Caring
Your child’s safety matters to us. Our team follows sign-in procedures and Plan to Protect protocols so families can feel confident and cared for.
Fun & Engaging
Kids learn through age-specific lessons, activities, games, discussion, and creative teaching designed just for them.
Faith for Everyday Life
We want children to know God’s Word, understand His love, and learn how to follow Jesus in everyday life.
Gateway Kids
Everything you need to know about Sunday mornings, classrooms, safety, and helping your child feel at home.
Gateway Kids is the children’s ministry at Gateway Church.
We are dedicated to partnering with parents to help children become fully devoted followers of Jesus. Through age-specific lessons, activities, and small group connection, children learn biblical truths and real-life lessons they can apply to their lives every week.
Our kids’ programming is offered every Sunday during our Sunday service and is available for children from birth through Grade 9.
Our fantastic team of trained staff and volunteers is dedicated to helping your kids have a great time while you enjoy the Sunday Worship Experience. We believe church can be safe, meaningful, and fun for the whole family.
Gateway Kids is available during our Sunday service at 10:00 AM.
Children are usually released to their classrooms after a couple of worship songs during the Sunday Worship Experience.
If it is your first time visiting with children, we recommend arriving a few minutes early so we can help you get signed in, answer your questions, and show you where to go.
On your first visit, look for a friendly face who can help you get started. We want your first Sunday to feel simple and welcoming.
To sign in your child, we may ask for a few important details, including:
- a parent or guardian’s name,
- your child’s name,
- your child’s age or grade,
- any allergies, medical notes, or special instructions,
- and the best way to contact you during the service if needed.
Children are signed in and signed out from their classrooms. We want you to feel safe knowing your family is in good hands.
If you have any questions, please ask. We will be glad to walk with you through the process.
Our nursery is a loving environment for babies and toddlers from birth to 23 months.
We know it can be hard to leave your little one, especially on a first visit. Our caring and trained volunteers want to make that transition as easy as possible for you and your child.
Your baby or toddler will receive personal attention and care while you participate in the Sunday Worship Experience.
Snackers is our preschool and kindergarten environment for children ages 2 to 5.
This room is all about discovery, belonging, and having fun. And yes — snacks are part of the experience.
With programming designed especially for this age, children learn that God made them, God loves them, and church is a place where they can feel safe and welcomed.
Kingdom Kids is our elementary program for children in Grades 1 to 5.
This is a fun, high-energy environment where grade school kids learn what it means to live a life like Christ.
Each Sunday includes age-appropriate Bible teaching, activities, music, games, and opportunities to connect with leaders and other kids.
Our goal is to help children love God’s Word and understand how to apply it to their everyday lives.
Seekers is our Sunday morning environment for students in Grades 6 to 9.
For older children and younger teens, we provide a welcoming space where they can dive deeper into the Bible and talk through questions about faith, life, identity, relationships, and following Jesus at their stage of life.
We want students to know they are seen, valued, and invited to grow in a faith that is personal and real.
If you have a child with special needs who may need a little extra support to participate in Gateway Kids, we would love to partner with you.
Mountain Movers is designed to help children participate in a way that is safe, caring, and meaningful. This space includes appropriate sensory toys and activities, along with trained team members who can support your child during the Sunday Worship Experience.
Every child matters to God, and every child matters to us.
If your child may benefit from extra support, please reach out so we can prepare well and help make their experience as positive as possible.
We believe the Bible is the most important book ever written, and we want to help children understand God’s Word in a way that is creative, engaging, and age-appropriate.
Each week, children learn about who God is, how much He loves them, what Jesus has done for us, and how God’s truth can shape the way we live.
Through games, activities, small groups, conversation, and teaching, we want every child to grow in faith and discover the value of applying God’s Word to their everyday life.
Absolutely.
Our environments and lessons are designed to help children grow alongside others in similar age groups. As kids build relationships with leaders and other children, they gain support, confidence, and encouragement as they grow in faith.
When your family attends regularly, your child will begin to see familiar faces, build friendships, and feel more at home in Gateway Kids.
Students in Grades 6 to 12 are also invited to our multi-church Friday night youth experience through Arnprior Youth.
Safety is one of our highest priorities in Gateway Kids.
We use a sign-in and sign-out process, and Gateway Kids follows Plan to Protect protocols.
Every Gateway Kids volunteer leader is screened, participates in a background check, and receives appropriate training. Our hallways are also monitored by background-checked people during the Sunday Worship Experience to help ensure children stay safe and secure.
If we need to contact you during the service, we can send you a text message or come and get you in the sanctuary.
That is completely normal.
New places can feel intimidating for children and parents. Our team will do their best to welcome your child, help them feel comfortable, and support your family at a pace that feels right.
If your child needs a little time to adjust, that is okay. You are welcome to ask questions, visit the classroom, or share anything that may help us care for your child well.
We want your family to feel safe, supported, and welcomed.
Students in Grades 6 to 12 are invited to our multi-church Friday night youth experience through Arnprior Youth.
Arnprior Youth is a place for students to build friendships, ask honest questions, grow in faith, and have fun in a safe and welcoming environment.
